What has happened to the UK Visas Premium Service and What Does the New UK Visas Priority Service Mean?
New UK VCAS centres replaced the old UK Visas Premium Service Centres, which began to close from 29 November 2018 making for a more streamlined and intuitive process. The new UK Visas priority service will be used for in-country applications initially for 30 different visa routes. These include those applying to join family members in the UK as dependents.
UK Visas Priority Service / UK Visas Super Priority Service Processing Times
UK Visa processing times can vary. You may be able to pay for a faster decision on a visa or settlement (‘indefinite leave to remain’) application if you’re applying in the UK. Depending on what you’re applying for, the decision providing you are willing to pay the extra costs incurred with using the UK Visas priority service, a decision can be made in 1 working day or 5 working days. Decision within 1 working day- If you’re eligible you can choose the ‘super priority service’ when you apply. It costs £800 in addition to the application fee. A decision will be made within 1 working day of providing your biometric information (fingerprints and photo) at your UK Visa and Citizen Application Services (UKVCAS) appointment. Decision within 5 working days- If you’re eligible you can choose the ‘priority service’ when you apply. It costs £500 in addition to the application fee. A decision will be made within 5 working days of providing your biometric information (fingerprints and photo) at your UK Visa and Citizen Application Services (UKVCAS) appointment.
